Twin Cities Housing Market Update

I have recently come across some market statistics for the Twin Cities area that should be of great use to you. I've broken down the statistics by area to give you a better picture

Plymouth: The number of home sales are down 5.8% from last year but the average home sale price in Plymouth is up a whopping 7.1% in the past year.
Ritchfield: Home sales are just about the same as last year in terms of quantity, but average home sale prices are up over 10%.
Minnetonka: Home sales are down a little bit, with about 1.6% less homes being sold compared to last year. On the other hand, home price averages are up 4%, which is an encouraging sign.
Minneapolis Southwest: The number of home sales down 3.8%. Up 3.9% though is the average sale price for a home in Minneapolis Southwest.

As you can see, nearly all across the board the number of home sales are decreasing, but don't be discouraged if you are looking to sell. Average home sale prices are increasing greatly, up to 10% in some areas.
